Cushion/Target Tees
Our cushion/target tees are manufactured from solid B/W tee forgings to meet ASME B16.9 dimensional requirements. Since they are made from solid tee forgings, any wall thickness is available. Special dimensional requirements are available upon request.
We carry these forgings in ASTM A105-N material to meet ASTM A/SA234WPB/C, 4130NQT(API 75k), and most items are available in High Yield. Stainless and special alloys are available upon request!
We stock thru 8” Nom. Forgings and can offer larger sizes upon request.
A cushion/target tee is a cushioned end 90 deg elbow. One end of the run is left solid! The term “Target” is still used today, but really applies to the old specification where a customer would request a “Lead-Filled” target tee. The user would x-ray the fitting to judge the corrosion in the line with the Lead filling being used as the “Target”.
